The 17th Asian Financial Forum 2024, co-organized by Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, will be held on Jan 24 and 25, focusing on multilateral cooperation and sustainable economic development, while showcasing the city’s strengths as a global financial center.
Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu and Minister of National Financial Regulatory Administration Li Yunze will deliver the opening remarks.

Other prominent speakers will include Jeffery Sachs, president of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network; and Douglas Diamond, who won the Nobel prize for economic sciences in 2022. More than 100 speakers, including influential figures in the financial industry, global policymakers, and business leaders will be attending the two-day event.
This year’s forum will include more than 40 thematic discussions, plenary sessions, policy dialogues, keynote luncheons, breakfast panels and workshops.

Another highlight will be the AFF deal-making platform, which allows participants to engage in one-on-one meetings, and connect with funds and investment projects around the world.
