JINAN - The Xinjiang Flying Tigers extended their winning streak to six games after defeating the Jiangsu Dragons 103-87, while the Liaoning Flying Leopards overcame the Shandong Heroes 103-86 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) League on Wednesday.
The match between Xinjiang and Jiangsu started with a 6-6 tie, as Xinjiang became more offensive and led the first quarter 31-21.
Jiangsu overtook Xinjiang at the beginning of the third quarter, but was soon struck back by Abudushalamu Abudurexiti and Dominique Jones of Xinjiang, who maintained their advantage till the last moment.

The Liaoning Flying Leopards encountered a tough battle against the Shandong Heroes as the latter led the first quarter 27-25. By intensifying their offense, the defending champions outscored Shandong and dominated the game till the final whistle
With the win, Xinjiang remains atop in the standings and hands its rival a 13-game losing skid.
Abudushalamu Abudurexiti had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead Xinjiang. Qi Lin added 16 points while Zhu Xuhang scored 14. Alpha Kaba of Jiangsu grabbed 28 points and 22 rebounds.
Elsewhere, Liaoning encountered a tough battle against Shandong as the latter led the first quarter 27-25. By intensifying their offense, the defending champions outscored Shandong and dominated the game till the final whistle.
Kyle Fogg led Liaoning with 26 points and 10 assists. On the Shandong side, four players scored double digits as Marial Shayok pocketed a game-high 33 points.

Also on Wednesday, the Beijing Ducksdefeated the Zhejiang Lions 103-81, the Fujian Sturgeons edged the Sichuan Blue Whales 115-109, and the Shenzhen Aviators downed the Shanxi Loongs 109-97.
