Dozens of dazzling lanterns have lit up Guangzhou with a very popular lantern fair kicking off Wednesday to celebrate the upcoming traditional Lantern Festival.

The fair at Guangzhou Cultural Park features around 40 sets of lanterns depicting diverse themes such as blossoming flowers and dragons from the Chinese zodiac, making it the largest fair for the provincial capital of Guangdong in recent years.

The lantern show runs until the Lantern Festival on Saturday.
