HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government has set up the first Hong Kong cross-boundary public services self-service kiosk in Guangzhou to enable residents and enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to access Hong Kong government services conveniently.
The self-service kiosk, which came into operation Friday, will enable the residents and enterprises access to more than 50 Hong Kong government services without the need to travel to Hong Kong in person, the government said in a statement.
Located on the third floor of the Guangzhou Municipal Government Service Center, in Zhujiang New Town of the Guangdong capital, the kiosk is available for use by the public from 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 5 pm on weekdays, except for public holidays.

The services are from nine government bureaus and departments, encompassing areas commonly used by the public and enterprises.
Members of the public can use the self-service kiosk to perform data entry, document scanning and result printing, so as to enjoy one-stop access to apply for various government services
These include taxation; company registration; property and vehicle enquiry and registration’ applications for personal identification documents and talent entry; welfare and education; healthcare; immigration clearance; and urgent assistance.
“Members of the public can use the self-service kiosk to perform data entry, document scanning and result printing, so as to enjoy one-stop access to apply for various government services,” reads the government statement.
In addition, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer has set up an iAM Smart self-registration kiosk at the same location to enable Hong Kong residents working and living on the Chinese mainland to register for or upgrade to “iAM Smart+” and enjoy convenient online services.
The Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau said it will continue to collaborate with the Guangdong Provincial Administration of Government Service and Data to explore the setting up of more self-service kiosks in the Greater Bay Area.
