BEIJING - China firmly opposes any form of official interactions with China's Taiwan region by countries that have diplomatic relations with China, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
China will take all necessary measures to firmly safeguard its interests, spokesperson for the ministry Wang Wenbin said at a daily press briefing.

Asked about United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken's "congratulations" to the new leader of the Taiwan region, Wang said China urged the US to earnestly abide by its commitments of not using Taiwan as a tool to contain China, and stop hollowing out the one-China principle.
