SHENYANG - China's women's basketball team rallied past Australia 75-68 in their third warm-up match here on Sunday, concluding the first phase of pre-Olympic friendlies with one win and two losses.
Guard Yang Shuyu led China with 23 points, Wang Siyu scored 10 and Sun Mengran added nine. Li Yuan, who had a nose fracture, came off the bench to take four points and five assists.
Australia's 19-year-old Isobel Borlase took a team-high 17 points, and Zitina Aokuso added 16.

Star center Han Xu, top backcourt scorer Li Meng and power forward sharpshooter Huang Sijing sat out due to injuries and fatigue, while Li Yueru had commitments in the ongoing WNBA regular season.
The FIBA Women's World Cup runners-up had to call up young players Tang Yu, Tang Ziting and Zheng Ming to fill the spaces. Despite a relatively new roster, China managed to keep pace with Australia for much of the play, falling only single-digits behind in the first two games.
China head coach Zheng Wei admitted that it was a "hard time" for the team, but she remained positive about the experience the games would give to young players.

The team now travels to Xi'an for more friendlies against Japan on June 5 and 7.
