Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said after 25 years of development, China-Japan-South Korea cooperation has become one of the most influential multilateral cooperation mechanisms in Asia, which not only benefits the people of the three countries, but also plays an important role in promoting regional and global peace and prosperity

With the joint efforts of the three parties, Wang said, the ninth Trilateral Summit Meeting among China, Japan and South Korea was successfully held recently, and the three parties agreed to deepen cooperation, injecting stability and certainty into the turbulent and changing international community.

He expects the three parties to jointly implement the consensus reached at the meeting, stick to the original intention of cooperation, proceed from the well-being, future and destiny of the three peoples, focus on long-term goals, grasp the right direction, take on new responsibilities and new actions so as to set China-Japan-South Korea cooperation on a new journey.

Wang said the IFTC is a landmark project of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) which plays a positive role in enhancing the influence of trilateral cooperation by pooling wisdom and efforts and promoting exchanges.

Wang hoped that IFTC participants would have in-depth discussions to contribute wisdom to the steady and lasting development of China-Japan-South Korea cooperation.
