SEOUL - The Workers' Party of Korea started the 10th enlarged plenary meeting of its 8th Central Committee on Friday, the official Korean Central News Agency reported Saturday.
The meeting was designed to "review the work done in the first half of the year, and discuss and decide a series of important immediate issues," the report said.

According to the KCNA, the meeting was presided over by Kim Jong-un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Five items were placed on the agenda of the plenary meeting, and discussion related to the items is underway, the KCNA reported.
