WASHINGTON - US Vice-President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris will sit for an interview with CNN this week, the network announced on Tuesday.
CNN said Harris, along with Minnesota Governor and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, will join the network's chief political correspondent and anchor Dana Bash. The interview will air on Thursday.

Republicans have criticized Harris for avoiding press conferences or interviews since US President Joe Biden withdrew from the race last month and endorsed her for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.
Former US President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's campaign responded to the scheduled Harris-Walz interview on Tuesday, alleging that Harris is "not competent enough to do it on her own".
Polls have shown a tight race between Harris and Trump, who will have a debate on Sept 10.
