HARARE - Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced on Wednesday that the country will leverage partnerships established under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) to accelerate modernization, industrialization, and pursue a people-centered economic transformation.

"My state visit to the People's Republic of China and participation in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation provided us with opportunities to deepen our relations with China across various areas of cooperation," Mnangagwa said during the 378th Ordinary Session of the ruling Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front politburo in Harare. He paid a state visit to China in early September ahead of the 2024 FOCAC summit in Beijing.
