BEIJING - Chinese prospect Bu Yunchaokete swept past sixth seed Lorenzo Musetti of Italy 6-2, 6-4 to secure his spot in the men's singles quarterfinals on Sunday at the 2024 China Open in Beijing.

Reflecting on Sunday's performance, Bu Yunchaokete credited his previous match for enhancing his mental resilience. "Getting broken twice in the second set reminded me of my first-round match, where I faced a similar situation. I just focused on the game, and it was the same today," said the 22-year-old.

The year 2024 has seen breakthroughs for Bu Yunchaokete. He made his Grand Slam main draw debut at the US Open and recently reached the semifinals at the ATP 250 event in Hangzhou, breaking into the men's singles top 100 for the first time in his career.
