Shanghai jumps 8.06%, 15.36% leap for ChiNext

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed sharply higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index surging 8.06 percent to 3,336.5 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index soared 10.67 percent to close at 10,529.76 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, jumped 15.36 percent to close at 2,175.09 points.

The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
