HONG KONG – Hong Kong is all set to hold the third edition of the Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit from Nov 18.

The three-day event titled “Sailing through Changes” features a welcome dinner, a main summit, and an investment forum.

Global investors and financial practitioners will get a chance to share their insights into financial industry trends and identify investment opportunities amid global uncertainties, with professionals from banks, securities firms, sovereign wealth funds, private equity and venture capital firms, and hedge funds in the audience.

Future of AI and creativity

The International Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Conference, which begins at the Shenzhen Research Institute on Friday, aims to provide a platform for industry professionals to delve into cutting-edge AI and creative technologies, showcasing transformative tools and methodologies that are reshaping the future landscape.

Leading figures in AI and creative industries, such as experts from animation studios such as Blender Studio as well as the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Tsinghua University are expected to take part in the three-day inaugural AI conference.

Consolidating shipping status

Shipping experts and professionals from around the world will gather in Hong Kong to discuss industry trends and explore opportunities amid changes in global trade and transportation, at the World Maritime Merchants Forum, which will begin on Nov 18.

The three-day event will have one main forum and seven thematic forums, focusing on the latest policy updates, oil and gas shipping market, maritime law and finance, logistics supply chains, and digital transformation.

Hi-tech highlights

The 26th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF), one of China's most influential technological events, opened on Thursday at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, showcasing the latest hi-tech trends and accomplishments across the globe.

The three-day fair – expecting the participation of over 5,000 renowned companies and international organizations from more than 100 countries and regions – will spotlight 20 top rapidly growing sectors, including the international exhibition, top tech industry chains, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

It will also enhance efforts to invite international buyers to participate, introduce new products, skills, and policies, and collaborate with other international tech and industrial fairs to increase impact.
