The Sunbeam Theatre, with its 53-year history in North Point, announced earlier that it would close down on March 3, 2025. Since its opening in 1972, this renowned Cantonese opera venue has been one of Hong Kong's most important cultural landmarks for arts and culture.

An open day was organized on Monday to offer members of the public a chance to revisit the theater, allowing them to explore its lobby, digital theater, and the main stage of the grand theater, and to experience the unique atmosphere reflective of Hong Kong’s past.
