MINSK - Belarusian Foreign Ministry has declared gross interference in the country's election campaign by the European Union.

Anatoly Glaz, a representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, told local media on Wednesday about the "grossest interference" in the republic's sovereign affairs during the election campaign.

The ministry has obtained a statement from the European External Action Service (EEAS), which it plans to make following the elections in Belarus. The elections in Belarus have just begun, but the document already condemns and does not recognize everything, the official said.

The EEAS statement the Belarusian side has studied also showed that European diplomacy is once again admitting its impotence in the face of Belarus' readiness to find solutions to specific challenges, including cross-border issues, the representative said.

The Belarusian side has repeatedly noted that all anti-Belarusian actions are prepared in advance and regardless of the real state of affairs in the country, according to Glaz.
