Hong Kong can expect cooler weather this week, with temperatures ranging from 13 to 18 degrees Celsius, as a cold front was forecast to move southwards across the coastal areas of Guangdong on Monday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.
The HKO said in a weather bulletin that Hong Kong could see a minimum temperature of around 14°C on Monday and 13°C on Tuesday. Temperatures in the city on Sunday ranged between 17°C to 21°C.

“The weather will become appreciably cooler tomorrow. Temperatures in the urban areas will be about 18 degrees at first, falling progressively to a minimum of around 14 degrees, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories,” the observatory said.
According to the HKO, Ta Kwu Ling in the New Territories could see a minimum temperature of 10°C on Tuesday morning and 9°C the following day.
The mercury will range between 14°C and 18°C in urban areas from Wednesday to Saturday before another surge of the northeast monsoon affects the region next weekend, with the city’s temperatures forecast to drop to as low as 13°C on Sunday.

The observatory added that it will mainly be cloudy tomorrow, with one or two rain patches in the morning.
