The riverside in Guangzhou's Haizhu district has been transformed into a "golden avenue", lined with rows of golden trumpet trees in full bloom along a long stretch, attracting crowds for some beautiful photos.
The golden trumpet tree, also known as Handroanthus chrysanthus, is native to Central to South America. Its flowers are usually tubular shaped, with broadening corolla of deep yellow color.
The peak-boom period of the tree normally lasts for about 10 days.
China Daily's Parker Zheng took the photos on Friday.
