BEIJING - Li Haiqing has been left out of the list of referees for this weekend's 2025 Chinese Super League (CSL) fixtures, after having made an "incorrect" decision in the opening round.
According to the Chinese Football Association's referee assessment panel, during Saturday's match between Shanghai Shenhua and Changchun Yatai, Li should have issued a red card instead of a yellow card to Shanghai defender Jiang Shenglong for a dangerous foul in the 91st minute.

"The referee's decision to issue a yellow card was incorrect, resulting in a missed red card," the statement read.
Five minutes after Jiang's foul, Shanghai Shenhua scored, securing a 2-1 victory.
"We should have left the Shanghai stadium unscathed," Changchun Yatai commented on social media following the CFA statement.
