Kremlin: Zelensky's readiness for peace talks positive

MOSCOW - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's readiness to begin peace talks is positive, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

Peskov noted that Ukraine's legal ban on holding negotiations with Russia is still in place.

"In general, the approach is positive. But the nuances have not changed yet," said the spokesman.

US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he had received a letter from Zelensky saying that Kiev is ready to enter peace negotiations without delay.
