Shanghai Shenhua beats Kawasaki Frontale in Asian Champions League

SHANGHAI - Wilson Manafa forced an own goal as Shanghai Shenhua beat Japan's Kawasaki Frontale 1-0 in the first leg of round of 16 of Asian Champions League here on Wednesday.

In the 33rd minute, Yasuto Wakizaka netted for the away team, but the goal was disallowed due to offside.

Shenhua broke the deadlock in the 76th minute, when Manafa's shot was deflected by kota Takai into the back of the net.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Shanghai Port lost to Yokohama Marinos 1-0 at home in the first leg of Asian Champions League.
