Four books about President Xi Jinping's work experience in Hebei, Fujian and Zhejiang provinces and in Shanghai have been published and made available nationwide.

Coordinated and guided by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the books were compiled by the publicity departments of the CPC's Hebei, Fujian and Zhejiang provincial committees and its Shanghai Municipal Committee.

Xi worked in Zhengding county, Hebei, from March 1982 to May 1985 as the county's deputy Party chief and later as Party chief.

Between June 1985 and October 2002, he worked in the Fujian cities of Xiamen, Ningde and Fuzhou and as deputy Party chief and governor of Fujian. From October 2002 to March 2007, Xi worked in Zhejiang as deputy Party chief, acting governor and then Party chief of the province.

Between March and October 2007, he worked in Shanghai as Party chief of the municipality.

The four books focus on Xi's efforts in leading and advancing reform and opening-up, as well as in the modernization of areas before he became the nation's top leader. It helps the readers learn more about his work at the grassroots level, from which he grew to be the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, as well as his wisdom, vision and great insights in promoting reform and development, according to Xinhua News Agency.
