ZHUJI, China - Yi Jianlian had 11 points and ten rebounds as the Guangdong Southern Tigers extended their winning streak to ten games in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league with a 108-102 victory over the Jilin Northeast Tigers here on Wednesday.
Marshon Brooks and Ren Junfei each scored 17 points for Guangdong, who raced into an 8-3 lead after the tip-off. Jiang Weize and Zhong Cheng hit two 3-pointers in a row midway through the first quarter, but Brooks scored seven points to help Guangdong take a 32-28 lead as the quarter expired.

Guangdong upped their defense in the third quarter and rode on a 17-5 surge to go up 72-66.
With Guangdong leading by four points going into the fourth quarter, Brooks connected on two shots from beyond the arc. Jilin once closed in to 91-92, but Guangdong guard Zhao Rui responded with a layup and a 3-pointer to finish off his rivals.

The Shanghai Sharks thrashed the Guangzhou Loong Lions 121-92 to pocket their 10th victory in the past 11 games, with Johnny O'Bryant top scoring with 35 points for Shanghai.
Also on Wednesday, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls saw off the Beijing Royal Fighters 120-83, the Zhejiang Lions beat the Qingdao Eagles 92-82, the Jiangsu Dragons lost to the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 88-75, and the Shandong Heroes smashed the Ningbo Rockets 129-71.
