Hong Kong – The See Change Model United Nations (SCMUN) returns for its 4th year as a premier platform for empowering young diplomatic talent. Scheduled for 4-10 August 2025 at the City University of Hong Kong, SCMUN promises to be a transformative experience for students eager to sharpen their leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills, preparing them to thrive in an interconnected global landscape.

SCMUN sets the standard for excellence in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences by cultivating globally conscious leaders. Participants like Jophy Law and Kola Zaynab have achieved both academic and professional success. Jophy joined SCMUN’s first year, quickly advancing to committee chair by the 2nd SCMUN and later chairing at Oxford University’s MUN conference the same year. SCMUN’s emphasis on skills like data literacy, public speaking, and cross-cultural communication was key to her growth, showcasing how it nurtures future global leaders.

Reflecting on her experience, Jophy shared, “Oxford MUN was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. My time there was spent interacting with delegates, other ADs, and Oxford students, engaging in numerous fruitful and intellectual conversations that left me missing Oxford the moment I stepped on the plane home. This is a conference I am confident has helped me learn and grow not only as a student but as an individual.”

By equipping young leaders with critical skills and offering world-class opportunities, SCMUN continues to prepare them to excel on international stages and inspire others to do the same.

Kola’s journey highlights SCMUN’s role in empowering young leaders. Starting as a participant, she gained confidence, leadership skills, and a global perspective. These strengths helped her win a major award at Oxford University’s MUN, where she represented Sudan, tackled global issues, and built international connections. Now, she leads her high school MUN delegation, inspiring others to reach their potential.

Reflecting on her experience, Kola said, “Going to the Model United Nations at Oxford was truly a dream come true! From the thrill of debating military coups to dancing at the Oxford MUN Social, every moment was unforgettable!”

Tang Shing Chun, Christopher, who earned Best Delegate for the African Union at Oxford Global MUN, described his experience as transformational, saying, “Besides providing me with a United Nations simulation, Oxford MUN also helped me to build connections, further develop soft skills, and gain insights into the complexities of international relations, which widened my perspectives from foreign culture to self-development.”

Francesco Tailai Wang, another delegate representing the African Union, shared his reflections, “Going to Oxford really opened my eyes. It was extremely well-organized, with wonderful, witty, and knowledgeable chairs.”

Testimonials from Jophy, Kola, Christopher, and Francesco showcase the academic, professional, and personal growth inspired by SCMUN. By helping students develop key skills, build global connections, and gain valuable insights, SCMUN continues to shape future leaders for the global stage.

SCMUN 2025 builds on its legacy by redefining leadership development with advanced training programs for future leaders in a rapidly changing world. This year introduces exclusive masterclasses to enhance participants' skills and perspectives. Through committees like the United Nations Security Council and World Health Organization, participants will address critical global issues, develop key skills, foster collaboration, and unlock their leadership potential.
