Liaoning defeats Beijing for 6th straight CBA win

ZHUJI, China - The Liaoning Flying Leopards overcame the Beijing Ducks 82-74 on Tuesday for their sixth straight win in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league season.

Kyle Fogg scored a game-high 19 points for Liaoning while Guo Ailun contributed 15 points and eight assists. Fu Hao had 14 points off the bench.

Liaoning was 44-39 up at halftime and took its largest lead of the game at 66-53 in the third quarter through a 10-0 scoring run. Beijing cut the deficit to seven points midway through the fourth quarter but only scored nine points in the last eight minutes.

Beijing's Zeng Fanbo, who signed with the Indiana Pacers for the NBA Summer League last year, finished with 19 points and seven rebounds.

The win consolidated the defending champion's second position on the table after the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, while Beijing remains in fourth place.

Also on Tuesday, the Nanjing Monkey Kings overwhelmed the Sichuan Blue Whales 107-84 as Quentin Peterson scored 39 point and had eight assists.

Nanjing finished with a 28-13 lead in the first quarter and held on for the rest of the game.

Lual Acuil had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Nanjing.
