BEIJING - Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on Jan 6 congratulated Mauro Vieira on his assuming office as minister of foreign affairs of Brazil.
In his message, Qin said that both China and Brazil, as major developing countries and important emerging markets with global influence, share broad common interests and shoulder common development responsibilities.
China has always looked at its relationship with Brazil from a strategic and long-term perspective and sees China-Brazil relations as a priority in its diplomacy, he said.

Qin said he stands ready to work with Vieira to strengthen communication and coordination between the two foreign ministries, promote friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields and bring China-Brazil comprehensive strategic partnership to new levels.
