SOFIA - Chinese boxer Hu Meiyi won gold in the women's 50kg category here on Sunday at the 74th edition of "Strandja", Europe's oldest international boxing tournament.

In the competition's final bout, Hu defeated Anamika of India 4-1.

Two other Chinese boxers, Xu Zichun and Yang Wenlu, took silver medals in the women's 57kg and 60kg respectively.

In addition, Yang Liu and Zhang Jiamao took bronze medals in the women's 66kg and men's 51kg.
