HANGZHOU - The last day of boxing competitions at the Hangzhou Asian Games saw six finals, all ending in one-sided bouts, with five boxers winning on unanimous decisions and one triumphing by a knockout on Thursday.

China's Yang Liu faced Janjaem Suwannapheng of Thailand again in the women's 66kg final, following their clash in the world championships in New Delhi, India in March. Yang emerged victorious on both occasions.

"I'm super happy and excited! The cheers and chants today were also very encouraging," said the 31-year-old.

Having secured a spot for the Paris Olympics through her semifinal victory, Yang admitted to feeling relieved before the final, adding, "I just wanted to win gold today."

Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan from northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region overcame a slow start to defeat Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Felix Marcial of the Philippines in the men's 80kg final.

"I'm very excited at my second Asian Games. Finishing fifth in Jakarta was not a satisfying result," said Tuohetaerbieke, who claimed a silver medal in the world championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in May.

"I proved my ability this time with a gold medal, and showed the power of Chinese boxing on the international stage," added the 26-year-old.

Abdumalik Khalokov of Uzbekistan knocked out Shudai Harada of Japan 29 seconds into the second round of the men's 57kg final. His compatriots Hasanboy Dusmatov and Bakhodir Jalolov also dominated their bouts in the men's 51kg and +92kg categories, respectively, securing victories.

Lin Yu-ting of Chinese Taipei defeated Karina Ibragimova of Kazakhstan to clinch the women's 57kg gold.

China led the boxing medal tally with five gold, two silver, and two bronze medals, followed by Uzbekistan with a tally of 3-0-2 and Chinese Taipei on 1-2-2.
