Two Hamas members killed in Israeli strike in S. Lebanon

BEIRUT - Two Hamas members were killed on Saturday morning in an Israeli drone strike targeting their vehicle in Bazourieh, a municipality in southern Lebanon, local TV channel MTV reported.

Israel continued on Saturday its raids in southern Lebanon by targeting the village of Al-Adaysseh. Moreover, its artillery shelling targeted the southern villages of Aita al-Shaab and al-Dhahira, according to the National News Agency (NNA).

The Lebanon-Israel border witnessed increased tension since Oct 8, 2023, after Hezbollah fired dozens of rockets toward Israel in support of the Hamas attacks on Israel the previous day, prompting Israel to respond by firing heavy artillery toward southeastern Lebanon.

The confrontations between Hezbollah and Israel have killed 225 on the Lebanese side, including 159 Hezbollah members and 37 civilians, according to Lebanese security sources.
