HARBIN - China's men's and women's curling teams each clinched two consecutive wins at the Asian Winter Games, as the foursome curling events kicked off on Sunday.

China's men's team defeated Hong Kong, China 9-2, before crushing Saudi Arabia 19-1. "The tournament just started, and the path to the gold will not be easy. We will try our best and continue to accumulate experience," said China's Xu Xiaoming.

On the women's side, China also eased past Thailand 19-1 and won 14-2 against Chinese Taipei, maintaining their forward momentum.

South Korea also seized two wins in men's and women's events respectively. "The track here is very similar to that in my country, so we adapted quickly," noted Seol Yee-un of South Korea.

The mixed doubles team curling event concluded on Saturday, with Japan and South Korea claiming gold and silver respectively, while China took bronze.
