DOHA - Zheng Qinwen's campaign at the Qatar Open ended on Tuesday after she was defeated in the round of 32 by Ons Jabeur.

The Chinese world No 8 lost in straight sets to the world No 35, with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-2, resulting in an early exit from the tournament.

This loss further extended Zheng's disappointing run, following her earlier exit at the Australian Open, where she was eliminated in the second round by Germany's No 97 Laura Siegemund.
