ALMATY - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Tajikistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who arrived in Astana for an official visit on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Kazakh presidential press service.
Tokayev highlighted the positive dynamics of Kazakhstan-Tajikistan relations across various sectors and stressed the importance of deepening their strategic partnership. He expressed appreciation for the strong ties between the two nations, emphasizing their long-standing cooperation and mutual understanding.

Muhriddin emphasized that Kazakhstan and Tajikistan have built mutually beneficial relations that continue to grow in the spirit of friendship and alliance. He conveyed Tajik President Emomali Rahmon's warm greetings to Tokayev and reaffirmed Tajikistan's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan.
The discussion focused on advancing cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade, transit, digitalization, education, culture, as well as regional security and water-energy cooperation. Both sides also discussed ensuring sustainable development in Central Asia.
