BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.15 percent to 3,370.03 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.07 percent higher at 10,695.49 points.
The combined turnover of the stock market stood at about 1.45 trillion yuan (about $204.8 billion), down from 1.58 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares in the tourism and hospitality, insurance, and banking sectors led the gains, while those related to shared bicycles, brain-computer interfaces and digital watermarking saw major losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.01 percent to close at 2,152.55 points.
