HONG KONG - Hong Kong reported 28 new COVID-19 infections on Saturday, the lowest since Jan 6, bringing the city's overall infection tally to 10,399.

The imported cases were from the United States and Pakistan respectively
Among the new infections were two imported cases and 26 locally transmitted ones, of which six were untraceable.
Eight new cases were reported in Yau Tsim Mong district while six in Kowloon City - both hard-hit areas - according to a health official at a daily briefing.
Five new patients were workers of the Hong Kong International Airport's third runway construction project. The cluster has infected nine people to date. The Centre for Health Protection has requested the suspension of works at the site. Around 3,000 workers will be required to undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing, according to the health authorities.

The imported cases were from the United States and Pakistan respectively, the official said.
There were 801 coronavirus patients being treated in 22 public hospitals and the AsiaWorld-Expo community treatment facility, including 28 in critical condition, according to the Hospital Authority.
