The Hong Kong Palace Museum opened to the media on Oct 26, 202 to show construction technologies and progress.
The Hong Kong Palace Museum will showcase antiquities from Beijing’s Palace Museum, as seen through a Hong Kong lens. Based on the architectural design by Rocco Yim, the museum – being built in West Kowloon Cultural District – is due to open in July 2022, after five years in the making.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the museum was held on May 28, 2018 and the main structure of the museum building was completed in November last year.
