WASHINGTON - The Brooklyn Nets withstood Kevin Durant's injury to edge the Miami Heat 102-101, while James Harden finished with a triple-double to lead the Philadelphia 76ers past the Detroit Pistons 123-111 on Sunday.
Durant, who has averaged 29.7 points this season, left with 36.6 seconds to play in the third quarter, appearing to be hurt when Heat forward Jimmy Butler fell into him following a drive.
Durant stayed in the game briefly before going into the locker room for evaluation, and the Nets determined that he would not return to the game. Durant scored 17 points before his departure.
Royce O'Neale stepped up for the Nets with a second chance basket with 3.2 seconds remaining, and Butler missed a contested layup at the buzzer.
Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 29 points, with the Nets having won 18 of their last 20 games.

Butler led the Heat with 26 points, and Tyler Herro added 24.

Harden had 20 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for the Sixers, who have won four from five. Tyrese Maxey added 23 points and Montrez Harrell scored 20.
Harrell had 16 points and Harden contributed 13 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in the first half, as the Sixers went ahead 71-54 at halftime.
It took Harden 27 seconds into the second half to complete his triple-double, setting up Tobias Harris' basket to put Philadelphia up by 19, and the Sixers held onto their advantage afterwards.
Killian Hayes scored 26 points for Detroit. Isaiah Stewart finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Bojan Bogdanovic had 20 points.
In Los Angeles, Trae Young scored 30 points and the Atlanta Hawks rallied from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the Clippers 112-108.

Also on Sunday, the Toronto Raptors snapped a three-game losing streak with a 117-105 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, the Indiana Pacers registered a 116-111 comeback victory over the Charlotte Hornets, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Utah Jazz 123-118 despite playing without their leading scorer Ja Morant, the Minnesota Timberwolves got past the Houston Rockets 104-96, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 33 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Dallas Mavericks 120-109, and the Cleveland Cavaliers sailed past the Phoenix Suns 112-98.
