The Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) is set to unveil its latest promotional video this Saturday, showing that law enforcers are confident and capable of defending Hong Kong.
Titled Guarding Our City with Faith: The Prequel and directed by famous filmmaker Dante Lam Chiu-Yin, the 30-minute prequel to the 2021 hit Guarding Our City aims to showcase police’s commitment to safeguarding the special administrative region and to let the public know more about the force.

Siu added that he hoped that HKPF can gain more public recognition and support through the video and inspire more people to join the force

The short film from the HKPF depicts a 48-hour action-packed crackdown on a terrorist group. It tells a story about a domestic violence case that leads to the discovery of a dangerous plot, resulting in a comprehensive investigation and the successful arrest of the suspected group leader.

Over 900 people participated in the one-year production, according to the HKPF, including police officers from the frontline, auxiliary police and members of Junior Police Call.

It features more intense and exciting scenes, such as explosions and gunfights, on a larger scale than the previous episode. The audience will also be able to get a glimpse of the detailed action of the police’s special duties unit, popularly known as the “Flying Tigers” team.
Guarding Our City with Faith: The Prequel will air at 9:45 pm on Saturday night on local television station TVB, and will be available on HKPF’s social media accounts on Sunday evening.
