Venezuela forges 'productive national unity' amid US blockade

CARACAS - The challenges of the blockade imposed by the United States against Venezuela have led to a "productive national unity" to overcome its effects, Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez said Wednesday in Moscow.

Amid the US blockade, the unity among Venezuelans has shown that it is possible to persevere, move forward, and overcome difficulties, Rodriguez told Venezolana de Television, Venezuela's state-owned television station.

She was participating in the sixth Russian Energy Week (REW) international forum in Moscow.

"These are lessons that the illegitimate, criminal blockades established by Western powers against our countries have taught us," Rodriguez said.

The vice-president said that in her speech at the REW on Thursday, she will address issues such as energy transition, the digital economy, and new technologies.

She added that she will discuss the agreements with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its partners on the stabilization of the international energy market.
