A visit program titled "Bay Attraction • Gathering Elite Talents - Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Master and PhD Students Explore the Greater Bay Area" began on Tuesday, aligned with the recent opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link

The event brings together over 50 master’s and doctoral students from major universities across China, including institutions in Shanghai, Wuhan, Xi'an, and Harbin, to engage with leading enterprises and research institutions in Shenzhen and Zhongshan.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area aims to become a key hub for new development, a model for high-quality growth, and a leader in Chinese modernization. To achieve this, the region needs a significant influx of highly qualified young professionals.

The event leverages the new connectivity provided by the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link and the return of students from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao during the summer to create a precise platform for matching talent with enterprises.

This initiative is part of Guangdong's Human Resources and Social Security Department’s broader strategy to attract and retain young scientific talent through targeted engagement and support mechanisms.

Going forward, the department will continue to enhance its talent recruitment strategy through partnerships with key domestic universities, aiming to integrate more young professionals into the GBA’s industrial landscape, thereby fostering regional development and innovation.
