Cyberport enhances its collaboration with Qianhai

Hong Kong Cyberport and the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone will jointly develop artificial intelligence, fintech, gerontech and other emerging industries.

Officials from both parties signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday to promote the advanced development of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong technology ecosystem, and pledged to provide more job and business opportunities for young people in both cities.

Cyberport and the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub will extend operational management, preferential policy measures, and services to each other.

They will also establish a platform in Hong Kong to offer various services including international legal affairs, accounting, risk management, financing, marketing and supply chain management to enable mainland enterprises to tap overseas markets.

“With Qianhai as a bridgehead of innovation in the Greater Bay Area, this collaboration will further strengthen the development of the  between Hong Kong and the mainland,” said Cyberport Chairman Simon Chan.

While pressing ahead with the development of the Digital Technology Hub in Lau Fau Shan of the Northern Metropolis, Cyberport believes the in-depth cooperation with the Qianhai Authority will bring “unprecedented” opportunities and inject “new impetus” into regional economic prosperity.
