At the Luohu Port, a critical node for cross-border tourism, over 700 foreign tour groups took advantage of the 144-hour visa-free policy during the summer. In response to the heightened demand, the Luohu border inspection station has implemented targeted measures, including a pre-notification system and a streamlined passenger clearance mechanism, ensuring efficient processing for large groups.

The newly introduced policy allowing non-Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents to apply for mainland travel permits has also facilitated smoother cross-border movement, particularly for organized youth groups, further positioning Shenzhen as a strategic gateway to the mainland.
