Guangzhou is set to stage a dazzling 45-minute fireworks extravaganza at its new landmark Baietan GBA Art Center on January 29 to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The show will feature a variety of spectacular fireworks, accompanied by a 2,025-drone performance as well as lighting and video projections, with the architectural marvel of Baietan GBA Art Center serving as its backdrop.
Seventeen designated spectator zones will be set up in the Liwan, Yuexiu, and Haizhu districts. Those who want to watch the fireworks from these venues can apply later through Guangzhou Fabu (广州发布), an official WeChat account of the Guangzhou government.
A special Pearl River cruise service will also be offered, allowing visitors to watch the fireworks while enjoying food and drinks on the cruise ships.
