CANBERRA - The Australian Labor government has unveiled the federal budget on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming election.
The 2025-26 budget focuses on five key priorities: aiding recovery efforts following ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, providing financial relief to households, strengthening Medicare, investing in education, and enhancing the economy's competitiveness, dynamism, and productivity, according to Treasurer Jim Chalmers on Tuesday.
