BEIJING - The highly anticipated Shanghai Derby between Port and Shenhua ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday, with veteran Yu Hanchao's header canceling out Liu Ruofan's early goal.

The two sides topped the table before Sunday's game, both managing 10 points after four rounds.

The home side, Port, broke the deadlock just five minutes into the game when Liu regained possession at the edge of the box and scored against his former club, Shenhua.

Shenhua should have equalized in the 18th minute, but Li Ke's attempt hit the post before Joao Teixeira also struck the woodwork.

In a desperate attempt to avoid defeat, Shenhua sent in Yu in the 81st minute, and the move paid off a minute later when Yu scored with a diving header. VAR confirmed that Yu was onside during the build-up.

Beijing Guoan finally secured a victory after three consecutive draws by beating Zhejiang FC 2-0. Fabio Abreu opened the scoring, and Nok-Hang Leung was forced to score an own goal.

Also on Sunday, Wuhan Three Towns continued its winless streak as it was defeated by Meizhou Hakka 3-1. Chengdu Rongcheng overcame 10-man Dalian Yingbo 2-0.

Qingdao West Coast drew with Tianjin Jinmen Tiger 2-2, with Alberto Quiles scoring his second consecutive brace for Tianjin.
