An explosion triggered by illegal production of fireworks and crackers on Tuesday morning in Liling city, China's Hunan province has led to five deaths and another two people missing, according to the local emergency management bureau.
The explosion occurred at a pig farm in Zhuhuashan village, Banshan township in Liling at 4 am Tuesday, the bureau said in a statement, adding that the people responsible for the explosion have been detained by the public security authority.

The rescue and clean-up work on site have finished and there is an ongoing search for the two missing people, it added. Other follow-up efforts are underway.
