HONG KONG - Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu and the delegation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and the Legislative Council arrived in Shenzhen on Friday to start a four-day visit to the Chinese mainland cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The delegation attended a dinner hosted by Secretary of the Communist Party of China Shenzhen Municipal Committee Meng Fanli and Mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal Government Qin Weizhong, according to an HKSAR government statement.
Lee said he believed that the trip will help enhance effective cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland GBA cities
Noting that this time he is leading a large-scale delegation to visit mainland GBA cities, Lee said that this trip would further lead all sectors of Hong Kong society to learn about and participate in the development of the GBA and integrate into the overall development of the country more proactively.

Lee said he believed that the trip will help enhance effective cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland GBA cities.
The delegation, which has Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-ki and President of the LegCo Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen, will be divided into two groups in Shenzhen to allow the participating members to visit more places.

The delegation's itinerary in Shenzhen covers various areas including innovation and technology, transport, energy industry, youth entrepreneurship, innovation and technology companies and cultural and tourism facilities, according to the statement.
