HONG KONG - Eight scientists on Tuesday received the Future Science Prize for their work in areas related to life sciences, material sciences, as well as mathematics and computer science. 

They are: Jijie Chai, Jian-Min Zhou, Zhongxian Zhao, Xianhui Chen, Kaiming He, Jian Sun, Shaoqing Ren and Xiangyu Zhang.

The laureates received the prize at an event organized at the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
