Macao is counting down to the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland. 

Streets and buildings in the city have been adorned with various festive decorations, enticing residents and visitors to snap photos.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, who arrived in the Macao Special Administrative Region on Wednesday afternoon, will attend a gathering celebrating the anniversary and the inauguration ceremony of the sixth-term Macao SAR government on Friday.
