China's daily production capacity and output of masks both topped 110 million units on Feb 29, the nation's top economic planner said on Monday.

The country produced 116 million masks on Saturday, 12 times the amount on Feb 1, including ordinary masks, medical masks and medical N95 masks, the National Development and Reform Commission said.

Daily production capacity and output of medical N95 masks reached 1.96 and 1.66 million respectively, effectively addressing the protection needs of frontline medical staff.
