Buildings, footbridges, and public sports grounds in Hong Kong have been adorned with banners and posters, as the city prepares to celebrate the upcoming 27th anniversary of its return to the motherland.

According to the special administrative region government, an array of activities and measures will be rolled out to celebrate the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Residents can enjoy special offers, such as free MTR rides and admission to several museums, on July 1.
