Iran's exports of defense products quadruple in 3 years

TEHRAN - Iran's Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani on Tuesday said the country's exports of defense products increased four-fold during the past three years.

He made the statement during a presentation to the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, highlighting his ministry's achievements since he began his tenure in August 2021, according to the official news agency IRNA.

During the period, Iranian defense industry output had increased by 250 percent, said the IRNA, citing other officials at the meeting.

The report did not disclose the specific amount of the output or the export.
